contempry victorian hairstyles inspired by American Hororr Story
In our latest hair class with lottie she showed us how to creat three different contempry hairstyles inspired by Americian Hrror story.
Tools Needed-
curling tong
bobby pins
pins
pin tail comb
hairspray
we started with brick work-
LOOK NO.1-This was actually very simple as its useing simuler techniques of past hair style created in class, ect.
To start I parted the hair off center, and take your first section, its important that this fits nicley around the tong otherwise you will have to take the section again. To creat a slight life at the root pull the hair away from the headand then rool down. Release this hair and useing a bobby pin hold in place. Continue this useing the brick work technic.
LOOK NO.2-For my second look i released the pins and smothed out the hair, but keeping the wave in. I used a paddel brush for this. i then created the finger wave around the face a secured again with pins. with the back it was pined into a low bun.
LOOK NO.3- this look was simpley created by realing all the pins and shaking out the hair. this instanley gave back the curls there bounce.

dark eyes and lips
My inspirstion to creating my dark eyes and lips was from the spring/summer channel catwalk.
What i loved about these looks was the softness created even using a harsh, dark colour.
The feathered out coal black, gives the illusion of swan lake/ black swan with a touch of romance. The baby pink lips have balanced this look out beautifully.

theatrical ageing of the skin
- To creat the ageing apperance of the skin i firsty moiserised the face and apllied a primer. i chose a slighly lighter shade for the foundation ad apllied that to face neck and hands. ( i created aged hands aswell)
- I applied lose powder to set the base
- I asked my model to crush her face as this shows were her frowns and wrinkles would naturally apper with age
- Then I mixed up on the back of my CLEAN hand a darker brown shad from my pallet of foundations and a brown from my supra colour pallet. With used a fin eye lining brush i applied this colour to the indentations and lines caused by my model pulling a face.
- To finish I lightly powders as this took away the shin.

I horned in the skills learnt though ageing and scratches and reflected it though my work.
my idea is one side of Sophie's face will reflect the ageing decaying Miss Havisham were as the other side is the young youthful side.
